Boracay Island, renown for one of the best Travel + Leisure Island in many surveys around the world. A must visit island!
Travelling there (From Penang Island)
Travelling there was not easy. It took us about 11 hours and via all sorts of transportation to reach there.
06:50 –> 07:40 Penang Airport to KLIA2 by Air Asia.
10:35 –> 14:25 KLIA2 to Kalibo Airport by Air Asia.
15:20 –> 17:10 Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Jetty Port by Southwest bus transfer.
17:30 –> 17:45 Caticlan Jetty Port to Cagban Jetty Port (Boracay Island) by Southwest boat transfer.
17:45 –> 18:00 Cagban Jetty Port to hotel door step by Southwest van transfer.
However, upon reaching the destination, all the travelling tiredness was gone as the beauty of the nature, the gorgeous white beach with azure blue sea and the vibrant atmosphere of the people filled our hearts.
- Southwest offers good service to transport us from Kalibo Airport to door step of our hotel, at a fee of 2250 peso for 2 person. The fee include returned service from Kalibo Airport to Boracay Island Hotel’s door step (any hotel in the Island), environmental fee, and boat fee. Southwest setup a counter just at the exit of arrival terminal at Kalibo Airport and the transaction was swift and smooth.
Chill Time at Night
The white beach is lively at night, especially around Station 2. Buffet dinner can be seen everywhere. After a tiring day at the waters, every stall looks mouth watering and we were spoiled of choices. Other than food, one of the attractions were the fire poi ball dance. The atmosphere were so pump up with fine skills from the dancer and the powerful bass music at the background.
There are also places for some quite time. There were nice sofas and bean bags at the beach side, and offering good unplug musics. Order some fruit shake and let your mind in peace and relax.
Morning Run at the White Beach
At 5:30 a.m., the sun has risen and shine on this island. Not much people at the beach at this moment as most were still asleep. To run on clean white beach, along with cool breeze from the sea, gentle sun light and beautiful scene that please the eyes, no where can be a better workout place than this.
Peak of the Island ~ Mount Luho
Ride up the little peak by ATV or Buggy Car. Those vehicle are powerful climber. It is quite safe riding these vehicle as it can hardly go faster than 20 km/h. There were a guide ride in front of us and we just need to follow him behind to the peak.
At the peak view tower, the whole Bulabog beach can be seen from there, with a lot of water sports activities on going.
Fee: 1900 Peso, including buggy car ride, 2 entrance to the peak view tower, tricycle trip from D’Mall to Buggy Car’s headquarter, 2 entrance to 3D art gallery and free hugs on the super big lizards!
